What We Do
Integrated Process Solutions LLC is a strategic consulting firm that works with large corporations and governments, allowing them to chart a path and realize benchmarked results in the business/disability space. IPS focuses on seven interfaces with client firms, distilling them to one performance measure: Return on Disability™.
Who We Are
Our CEO – Rich Donovan
Rich Donovan is the CEO and principal owner of Integrated Process Solutions LLC(IPS). After six years in the disability space while performing the role of Institutional Money Manager, Rich launched IPS to leverage his unique experience in two very different worlds. Having witnessed the mainstream business community’s laser-like focus on shareholder returns, Rich asserts that the same standard must apply to the market of disability.
Mr. Donovan worked as a Vice President at Merrill Lynch & Co in the role Portfolio Manager in New York City focusing on global macro strategies with an event driven overlay. While churning out an average annual return of 17%, Rich was a key change agent at Merrill to put measurable results behind disability and ensure that it became a recognized pillar of the firm’s diversity strategy. He learned, by fire, how to work with all levels of management to show quick, low-risk wins that build momentum into concrete organizational process.
In March 2006, Rich founded Lime Connect, Inc., a New York-based not for profit partnership that connects global corporations with an untapped talent source in people with disabilities by leveraging proven practice in a results driven manner. With its partners – Merrill Lynch, PepsiCo and Goldman Sachs – Lime approaches this space with a ‘rational edginess’ to combat the existing ‘radioactive’ brand of disability that represents the largest barrier in the workplace. Longer term, Lime is focused on the development of the Global Standard that lays a roadmap of process for corporations to effectively source, hire, develop and market to people with disabilities assisting to attain their high level diversity and inclusion goals/objectives. The Lime website is at www.limeconnect.com. Lime proved the model that IPS takes to the next level, measurable profitability/productivity.
Rich is a recipient of Merrill Lynch’s 2006 Leadership in Diversity and Inclusion Award in recognition of the results Lime produced for the firm, and serves on the board of directors of The United Cerebral Palsy Research and Education Foundation (UCPREF) and the Disability Funders Network (DFN).
In March 2004, Donovan was a panelist on the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission’s “Freedom to Compete Initiative: Realities and Opportunities in the 21st Century Workplace”, where he stressed the importance of education to the future economic and social integration of disabled individuals. He outlined the ‘parallel pipeline’ to work concept that needs to be addressed as early as elementary school for it to be overcome. He has been invited to speak to global corporations, various governmental bodies and the international disability community about the ‘business case’ behind disability. He has been a ‘go-to quote’ in numerous publications in business/disability related articles.
Prior to coming to New York City, Rich was a key member of the team managing the Provincial debt in Ontario for the Ministry of Finance. Earlier, he was a Risk Analyst with Citibank N.A in Toronto, managing their portfolios of real estate, fixed income, equity and currency derivatives.
In 1997, Rich ran for Canadian Federal Parliament as a member of the Progressive Conservative Party against the sitting Minister of International Trade. He was also involved in setting policy for the campaign platform, including extensive tax relief and a major restructuring of the federal bureaucracy.
Mr. Donovan, who happens to have cerebral palsy, holds a B.B.A from Schulich School of Business at York University and an M.B.A from Columbia Business School. Rich is an avid sailor.
What We Believe
Market forces will fix the gap that exists in the business/disability space, eventually. It is our belief that this gap exists because the allocators of economic factors do not hold the information/processes to understand/act upon the opportunities for excess profits that exist due to market inefficiencies. Integrated Process Solutions LLC was created as a vehicle to provide factor holders with the information and methodologies to be first movers. History dictates the gap will be filled by profit-seeking entities. IPS intends to speed that process up.
Put in layman’s terms, we show business profitable opportunities in a manner that they can readily act upon, and provide the process to do so.
The fact that these efforts are a positive force for society is not lost on us either.
